Chief Instructor Terence Cheah is a World Muaythai Council (WMC) and International Federation Muaythai Amateur (IFMA) certified coach and referee. With 14 years of coaching experience, he was also the Head Judge for Contender Asia. As one of the only three Master Instructors in Singapore,

Terence is the affiliated Head Coach for Hilltop Muaythai which he recognizes as his roots. Terence is also the MMA (Strike and Throw) instructor as he has a strong Sanda/Sanshou background.

Terence is extremely passionate about martial arts in all forms and this is translated in his energy and exuberance in his classes. He is a strong advocate of always learning, and is now trying his hand at Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as a white belt.

Although he has a shy demeanor, Adnan’s love for teaching and learning in evident in his classes. He is a Certified Instructor by International Federation of Muaythai Amateur (IFMA).

Farhan is bubbly and full of energy. His classes are always playful and light hearted. He is however very serious about coaching and strives for his students to get the best instruction and a great workout.

Elaine loves learning martial arts and loves teaching it as well. She is a firm believer that all women should be able to protect themselves to a certain degree. She enjoys contributing to empowering the women who wish to learn Muaythai as a form of self defence.

Elaine is a certified Muaythai instructor, referee and judge by the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur (IFMA).

Coach Gabriel holds a Bachelors degree in Sports and Exercise Science and has also completed an overseas Olympic Scholarship in coaching Wrestling. Besides his academic accolades, Gabriel is also a 6xNational wrestling champion and has represented Singapore internationally across 3 continents. He draws his inspiration, knowledge and flair for coaching from his first wrestling coach, Sergei Beloglazov a former 2x Olympic Champion who has taught him to be a strong advocate of imparting correct skills while keeping things fun and challenging. Besides wrestling, Gabriel has also trained and competed in many other combative sports.

Sensei Francis is the Dojo Chief for Transcendence Dojo and currently holds a 1st degree black belt. What originally started as a sport for fitness purpose has developed into a passion and way of life. Sensei Francis’ decade long martial arts training has seen him experiencing kick boxing, Muay Thai and Karate, including competing in local and overseas tournaments. Such varied experience has convinced him that the techniques and training of Karate are practical and useful in self defence. Sensei Francis looks forward to imparting these benefits to his members, in addition to developing mental alertness, a sense of tranquility, and the confidence to face the adversities in everyday life.

Coach Bala

Coach Bala is the Senior Boxing Coach at Transcendence. With over 30 years of coaching, Coach Bala has taught some of the most elite boxers and still continues to do so. He is passionate about his students and enjoys imparting his knowledge, skills and wisdom.

Coach Bala is also extremely proficient in Self Defense, being a former Commando in the Singapore Armed Forces, and the founder of the “U2Can” Boxing System.

Sulaiman has vast experience in competing in Judo, Sambo, BJJ, Silat and Wrestling, and has excelled in every single one of these martial arts, emerging as champion numerous times in each field. While his extensive competition experience allows him to train and groom potential competitors for the fight team, his cheerful and easy-going personality allows him to connect with both fighters and fitness students alike. His passion for martial arts is evident in his coaching style and serves as a source of inspiration and motivation for his students.

Syed has over 20 years of experience in Aikido. His gentle demeanor is the greatest testament to his chosen art. Syed’s quiet intelligence and warm disposition gives his students confidence in their learning. Syed is also the Founder of Impact Aikido, which emphasizes practical efficiency and robust techniques in both hand to hand and weapons training.

Josh began training Mixed Martial Arts in the dark days of the sport in 1998 when old school UFC legend, Keith “The Giant Killer” Hackney opened up a school in the suburbs of Chicago. 17 years along, Josh has been a tireless and outspoken ambassador for MMA and Grappling sports. Sharing his knowledge and starting programs at gyms all over the United States and in Asia. Josh still trains/spars 5 days a week and does grappling seminars all over Asia. He’s always pushing new techniques and is constantly embracing techniques from Sambo, Catch Wrestling, 10th planet and any other form of grappling he can find and implement into his game.
